Playing Warrirors

[[posterous-content:pid___0]]I have long been a fan of Rumbi and her work. I was so excited when she told me that she was working on a feature length. I hung around on set a few times to document different parts of the making of process, which was really an eye opener for me.

Rumbie is a film maker who does things by the book. Watching her made me shy of my own guerriller filmaking tactics. She had shot lists, assistant directors, scripts supervisors... it was really great to see that energy.

Watching the finished project provided a little shock. The main reason was the genre! Its like a funny romcom! I assumed it was a drama when I saw the script.

The flash backs were really funny though I must say the visual effects were such a let down... not because I am an animator and Vfx artist, but they really let down what is evidently a great film!

All in all I loved it. Seeing her work methodically from beginning to end gave me insight into another way of working as well as inspiration to produce my own stuff!
