More thoughts
Hey there,
I've noticed that over the past month or two I've been placed in positions of doubt, where I continually have to quiz myself on certain topics and parts of my proffessional and personal life. In these experiences have I discovered my worth, my self and aspects of me that may have lied dormant if not for them.
"Many people look.... but few see..." a saying that has such profound meaning in most things and my life.

My thoughts Vol 1
Hey all,
I'm in Botswana right now, In Gaberone, taking some time off to take a deeper look inside. I'm working on a few edits this side for a church i'd done some stuff for before.
My head is clearing up... too much time in Harare had started clogging my thinking. After a long trip this side (20 hours) and a day to chill by myself in this vacume that i've created has allowed me to put a few things into perspective. These are all rough thoughts... nothing serious.... yet! The following are my thoughts on a few topics. I'll update and add more as i go on:
EMG:
The Enqore Media Group, the company i registered but never really got it in full flight... just sort of to a hovering state. Currently situated in Milton Park with Herbert, a talented DOP as well as a strong willed man. I was operating as a one-man outfit, taking on music videos and post production for commercials and boring stuff like that. It was ok but did not fulfill my financial and artistic expectations.
The structure of the company was supposed to be ENQORE|Iris, the visual effects, animation and postproduction division that would handle all the commercial industry jobs. ENQORE|Entertainment, the division meant to generate content and pro-active products that'd produce personal artistic generated content. ENQORE|software, the division meant to create all the software products and needs of the other divisions and companies.
Iris has been the division that's been active. I've been hesitant to really go full swing with people and partners because of a number of factors, the economy... hyper-inflation has a mental strain that it creates. I have also been toying with the idea of leaving. so that's why that's where it's at. The Entertainment division has only started activities in the past few months in the form of Ninja Bete, a short film that i've been toying with for a while. This excersise has also created a source of fulfillment and therefore, a certain direction i'll be taking.So, EMG will NOT be swept under the carpet. I had entertained thoughts of directing my fullest of attentions to JAAG and to DATA but i've realised that by reallocating my attentions.... less to Iris and more to the entertainment and content genration division that i'll be ok.
JAAG:
Started with gusto. Initially a concept i'd created when i was staying over at Sol and Marv's this one weekend, it was initially an extention of my thesis though it has grown and many minds are now a part of it. I think that i'll put in a bit more work into this a bit till it reaches a stage of self sufficiency. I have decided to let this one take a mind of it's own.
DATA:
Initially a spin off from JAAG though restructured later on to become the JAAG inceptor. A trust for generating capital to fund the developement of the digital arts in Afrika. This is an organisation that I, Sol and Marv created to manage the developement of the industry. Quiet frankly I'm not too impressed with the progress that DATA is making. I feel the dicipline in the initial stages is not there yet and will be further amplified in future endevours. I realised this was an issue for me when i subconciously started to create another organisation... theQore.
theQore:
An organisation created to develope Afrikan content and provide ways of distribution to create world standard TV series, movies and animations. The organisation was created with the progress of JAAG and DATA in mind so as not to cercumvent or overlap the goals of the other organisations. I feel that I'll have more control over a lot of things.... decision making, scheduling, overall direction and execution management. I think I have a tendancy to put things into action quickly. I know this may increase likelyhood for mistakes but rather they be made with progress in the making!.
wHAT AM I SAYING?
Well, I'm saying that i'll be continuing EMG developement, redirecting energy to Enqore|Entertainment. I'll be producing 1 minute MICRO EPISODES... about a minute or so each of Ninja Bete and then of DUMA. Those are the Flagship titles of EMG for the meantime.
theQore will be powered by the so-far dormant ENQORE|software in developing a product called "the writers creative engine" codenamed "tweek". This will be the place where the generation of ideas will be created from and structured over time.
I'll also be working on IbuthoX graphic novel under EMG and partnering with JAAG and DATA for workshoping purposes.
JAAG will continue to grow... i need to enfisize the creation of a self sustaining structure.
DATA will proceed as planned. I will however move at the pace that's comfortable with the others, I think this will ensure the "every stone turned" concept.

Haven't posted in a while... again... maintaining this thing is tough! ok. So I'm now staying in park town with sol and marv & company. We are set to start work on the animation projects with just a month to go.
I think i need to see a shrink or something but I somehow have this very wierd feeling i can't put into words... early midlife crisis? I wonder...
ANYWAY! the untouchables and Kevi video made it's first appearance on telly thursday evening this past week! GOOD! JAAG has been requested to direct and produce one of the 5 films for the short film project for ZIFF. I've had these brilliant ideas and i need to get to skies and meet my cousin to discuss stuff. registered theqore.org! sweet!
I have animated parts of the trailor for Ninja Bete. Haven't officially started work though... i guess that's upsetting me right now...

Inspred Inspired! I hang around cool people! I was with Claire today... a friand of mine... she's booking out with the Bora! Her design sense is off the hinges and being around people like that lifts my spirits! Things were getting to me and my brain was feeling heavy!
I'm hard at work on the shower power video! I want to complete it quick so I get my cheese and retire for the month of July! Produce my Film.... my art and work some more on my reel. The reel is really going to be the best I've done! It'll feature concept art! the untouchables, mainly Ninja bete, the hip hop elementals and some VFX/ creature shots.
Need to make sure that it's at least 3 star rating ojn CGtalk and XSI base.

I need to consolidate certain things… I find that I've been reprioritizing quite a bit… I find I need to do this exercise a bit regularly.
I also need to learn to relax! I spent a Sunday chilling and washing and aside from a few annoyances I actually felt better…. So before most of the work starts on Ninja Bete, I plan to take a bit of a break! I'll get to skies and just chill out for a while like a week or so and then get back to work!
Still contemplating on the moving part…. It's so hard to make a decision when everything is upside down… the whole country is in shambles… everyone's scared, some are pissed…. It's all so strange! I need to just finish my reel and my film too.

NINJA BETE 03
The Finalization of the modeling and texturing is complete. We are now full swing in the rigging. Marvel Banda, a good friend and colleague is working on the four handed rig for the character/creature. I also had the good fortune of meeting one Alex Berek from the Pixel Corps who has volunteered to produce a video tutorial documenting the various methods of facial rigging that we can use on this character in XSI. That's some of that research and development for you!
Sol is on standby for the animation so we can get a few tests out. We need to show the Ziff people something so that maybe they can be a bit lenient on the deadline for submission.
Meanwhile, I'm striking a deal with Flash for soundtracks as well as planning on approaching a few individuals and askin'm to use their tracks as well. Also plan on calling up BC and Kinda cute to arrange to meet up and hear stuff.
Need to produce conclusive artwork and a script and I'll be uploading a synopsis soon (the final one). I'm also restructuring my site too! I need to have a more dynamic one where a lot more interaction can occur!

More progress! I finished the textures of the model today. I'll be finalising stuff for the model tomorrow and will be sending it off to the rigging. I can then focus on finalizing storyboards, thumbnails and script!
shooting is planned to be in the first two weeks of July. I think i can handle this...

NINJA BETE 01
Hey there, this is the official Ninja bete blog (any of'm titled Ninja bete).
I felt including it in this blog as opposed to making a new one was cool.
Well, the script final draft will be out soon, the thumbnails are being worked on and i'll be producing the final storyboards end of june. The creation of the digital animated Coackroach is underway now, in full swing! The modelling's almost done, I need to finalise some things in the modell and then we should be safe!
The texturing shall begin while the Roach is being rigged by Marv! I'll be asking Shingi to pull off a facial Rig for the thang!
TECNICAL NOTES:
The model was built in Softimage|XSI and that's where it'll be rigged and animated and rendered.
Textures will be in ZBrush 3.1, as well as UV layouts and displacements. Normal maps will be the preffered route here.

Consolidation
Hey there,
seems that I begin my posts with apologizing everytime and this one is no different, Sorry for the silence.
Well, been thinking how i'm going to do all i set out to do... I've decided to linearize *(that's my new phrase.... dibs on the trademark!) my thoughtflow into one uniform way of working to make execution fluid and in one stroke... if that makes any sort of sense... i may be going out of my mind.
Finally started the pencil and inks of the graphic novel! liiking good, i think i'm finally settling into a style i'm comfortable with!
DATA is finally registered though i just need to veryfy the ownership issues that I have to bring up finally! It may be nessesary to address these for matters of progress to occur.
Going to start wotk on the DESPOT project, will fill you in. NINJA BETE will be up soon (in terms of producing)... it's comin.

Hey there, Me again.
Bee doing a bit of offline blogging. That may exlain why some posts are at the same time and date.
Right now everything just feels so scattered. I need to take another look at all these projects I'm doing and re strategize. I'm now further into planning on moving to skies… I feel it may help the 'artist' in me… maybe help focus on a few things as well as putting a few things into perspective… the move may see me broke too! but the thing is I feel like I'm running around chasing my tail on the same spot. I figure that one never knows till I try it out!
Right now I'm really focusing on the showreel (as usual) and I plan to post one online late July. nI'm working on my new site and that should be up soon.

I'm contemplating on moving back to Skies and working from there, I think I may get more done while I'm that side. I'll be coming to and fro Harare for projects… I'm also going to be leaving ZIVA where I've been a lecturer for almost 4 years. I need to concentrate on building and completing the goals that I've set.
D.A.T.A is on its way to existence (slowly) and we'll be making moves on that! For those who don't know (I may have mentioned this on another past post) DATA means Digital Artists Trust Afrika. It's a trust setup for improving the digital arts of Afrika. There's a lot of work there too!
I have this personal project called college city which I'm doing in conjunction with this producer friend of mine called Tawanda (t krued) in Byo as well as a couple of people down there in my bid to improve the entertainment situation in skies… my home town.

Well, one of the main reasons why I've been out of Blog was the fact that I've been hard on work on a music video for the chamhembe revolution album by a Zimbabwean producer, take 5. The track is called "baby don't go" and it's featuring the untouchables! The rough edit is looking very promising and now we are entering the finessing stage. I worked on this with the usual squad, Solomon Maramba (unda daug) and Marv. We have High hopes.
Also the Untouchables project is taking shape too! It's coming along pretty well with the second video (described above) nearing completion and a couple lined up. A few new tracks are out and we hope to put'em out there.
Ninja Bete is currently in preproduction. It's been downsized to 5 min to preserve quality. I was researching on some newer technology like Zbrush and Normal mapping to include into my pipeline for the project to ensure that it looks good.

What's been up
Hey there people!
It's been a while since i've been posting... my bad. Allow me to summarise:
I went to Botswana for a bit and i was working on a DVD for a church conference there... it was a cool experience.
I started work on the graphic novel script... I've got thrown off a bit.
I recently shot the first of the Chamhembe Revolution videos... waiting to start post production on it.
I Completed the openning animation sequence for the new Heart of the Rythm TV season.
The Untouchables and I have been in a bunch of studios and recorded a remix for tone of the chamhembe tracks.
I'm starting a footwear company ( wierd huh?)
