My thoughts Vol 1

Hey all,

I'm in Botswana right now, In Gaberone, taking some time off to take a deeper look inside. I'm working on a few edits this side for a church i'd done some stuff for before.

My head is clearing up... too much time in Harare had started clogging my thinking. After a long trip this side (20 hours) and a day to chill by myself in this vacume that i've created has allowed me to put a few things into perspective. These are all rough thoughts... nothing serious.... yet! The following are my thoughts on a few topics. I'll update and add more as i go on:

EMG:
The Enqore Media Group, the company i registered but never really got it in full flight... just sort of to a hovering state. Currently situated in Milton Park with Herbert, a talented DOP as well as a strong willed man. I was operating as a one-man outfit, taking on music videos and post production for commercials and boring stuff like that. It was ok but did not fulfill my financial and artistic expectations.
The structure of the company was supposed to be ENQORE|Iris, the visual effects, animation and postproduction division that would handle all the commercial industry jobs. ENQORE|Entertainment, the division meant to generate content and pro-active products that'd produce personal artistic generated content. ENQORE|software, the division meant to create all the software products and needs of the other divisions and companies.

Iris has been the division that's been active. I've been hesitant to really go full swing with people and partners because of a number of factors, the economy... hyper-inflation has a mental strain that it creates. I have also been toying with the idea of leaving. so that's why that's where it's at. The Entertainment division has only started activities in the past few months in the form of Ninja Bete, a short film that i've been toying with for a while. This excersise has also created a source of fulfillment and therefore, a certain direction i'll be taking.So, EMG will NOT be swept under the carpet. I had entertained thoughts of directing my fullest of attentions to JAAG and to DATA but i've realised that by reallocating my attentions.... less to Iris and more to the entertainment and content genration division that i'll be ok.

JAAG:
Started with gusto. Initially a concept i'd created when i was staying over at Sol and Marv's this one weekend, it was initially an extention of my thesis though it has grown and many minds are now a part of it. I think that i'll put in a bit more work into this a bit till it reaches a stage of self sufficiency. I have decided to let this one take a mind of it's own.

DATA:
Initially a spin off from JAAG though restructured later on to become the JAAG inceptor. A trust for generating capital to fund the developement of the digital arts in Afrika. This is an organisation that I, Sol and Marv created to manage the developement of the industry. Quiet frankly I'm not too impressed with the progress that DATA is making. I feel the dicipline in the initial stages is not there yet and will be further amplified in future endevours. I realised this was an issue for me when i subconciously started to create another organisation... theQore.

theQore:
An organisation created to develope Afrikan content and provide ways of distribution to create world standard TV series, movies and animations. The organisation was created with the progress of JAAG and DATA in mind so as not to cercumvent or overlap the goals of the other organisations. I feel that I'll have more control over a lot of things.... decision making, scheduling, overall direction and execution management. I think I have a tendancy to put things into action quickly. I know this may increase likelyhood for mistakes but rather they be made with progress in the making!.

wHAT AM I SAYING?
Well, I'm saying that i'll be continuing EMG developement, redirecting energy to Enqore|Entertainment. I'll be producing 1 minute MICRO EPISODES... about a minute or so each of Ninja Bete and then of DUMA. Those are the Flagship titles of EMG for the meantime.
theQore will be powered by the so-far dormant ENQORE|software in developing a product called "the writers creative engine" codenamed "tweek". This will be the place where the generation of ideas will be created from and structured over time.
I'll also be working on IbuthoX graphic novel under EMG and partnering with JAAG and DATA for workshoping purposes.
JAAG will continue to grow... i need to enfisize the creation of a self sustaining structure.
DATA will proceed as planned. I will however move at the pace that's comfortable with the others, I think this will ensure the "every stone turned" concept.
