The Spirit of Ubuntu

I have realised over these past few days, that i have wasted a lot of time in searching for a higher way of thinking and transending and listenning to Guru's and reading all these Deepak Chopra books. In all this, I have realised the value of the Afrikan sensibility. We have the all-governing philosophy of uBuntu. The ndebele variation for this is: "umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu", basically meaning that "I am becasue we are".

The constant selfless awareness of others and one's interaction with them, to ensure the progress of the whole is by far the best philosophy in the world! Being in this city and seeing how some people have a selfish way of thinking has instilled in me a new respect and appreciation for this way of thinking. And it is a way of thinking that will govern all my actions, goals ad future projects. As part of this evolution I think a lot of thisngs will change... I have been saying this for a while but now i am able to identify the exact things i need to weed out.

I employ everyone of us, to embrace this way of thinking. You already do it everyday without thinking... the trick is to be concious of when and how you do it.
